Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern advised that Auckland will be at Alert Level 3 and the rest of New Zealand will be at Alert Level 2 from midnight Sunday 14th February for 3 days.
What you need to know
The virus in the new cases is the UK variant, and is not linked to any cases in MIQ, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Monday morning.
Aucklanders, including students, are asked to stay home. Supermarkets, petrol stations and pharmacies will stay open. Those identified as contacts or who were at the locations of interest are being asked to get tested.
The locations of interest include LSG SkyChefs, Papatoetoe High School and PAK’nSAVE Manukau on Cavendish Drive.

There have been some changes since the last lockdown and you will see that Fishmongers, Butchers and Greengrocers are now permitted to operate under level 3. And retail stores operating within malls may operate a click and collect service outside their premises inside the mall. More information is available from the official Unite against Covid-19 website.
Auckland’s Sylvia Park shopping centre has sent out a release, which included the following advice: “Due to the implementation of Covid-19 Alert Level 3, Sylvia Park is now closed. Essential services that are open are accessible through specific entry points. Remember to be kind and stay safe.”
